Computer Simulation of Cavitation Changes at Exit of Nip in the Roll to Plate System
Abstract
Roll to plate system is one of the most economical method to produce the printedelectronics. In this paper, cavitation changes of PDMS in the roll to plate system were simulated toinvestigate the behavior of fluid flow at the exit of printing nip. Computer simulation wasperformed with the package software based on Navier-Stokes equation. Newtonian model wasapplied for rheological behavior of the ink and the IGT-C1 printability tester was used to comparewith simulation data. Results including transfer rate, printing density, print through and splittingpoint have shown good agreement between them.
