Abstract

The development of high performance transparent electrodes is of great importance for efficient, low-cost organic optoelectronic devices such as organic solar cells and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Silver Nanowires (AgNWs) are regarded as promising alternative electrodes to replace conventional indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode due to their high conductivity and transmittance, low-cost, non-toxicity, and mechanical flexibility. However, the rough surface of AgNWs remarkably increases leakage current of organic devices, lowering an efficiency of devices. In this study, we successfully transfer AgNWs onto PET substrates by using UV curable optical adhesive. The flexible transparent conductive substrates with buried AgNWs show a low sheet resistance and a high optical transmittance. The flexible substrates with AgNWs developed here could serve as a promising alternative transparent electrode for OLEDs and organic solar cells.
