I The Properties of Printed Electrode Patterns on the Stretchable Films
Abstract
For this research, we produced the silver paste using polyester binders with different Tg and measured the viscosity and viscoelasticity. Then we printed the electrodes on the prepared silver paste using the screen printing method, to study the conductivity change and the electrode pattern’s surface morphology change after the folding and stretching test. The folding test result showed resistance increased linearly with respect to the increase in folding numbers regardless of the Tg value. However, in the stretching test, there was a clear difference in properties with respect to Tg. In other words, as the elongation increased measuring resistance in prepared silver paste with the binder has high Tg was impossible when it went over 40%, but in silver paste produced with the low Tg resistance could be measured up to 80%. In conclusion, in instances where high elongation is needed, it is desired to use the binder with low Tg.
