Synthesis and Properties of Poly[4-(trifluoroacetoxy)methyl-1,6-heptadiyne]

Abstract

A dipropargyl monomer with (trifluoroacetoxy)methyl groups, 4-(trifluoroacetoxy)methyl-1,6-heptadiyne was synthesized and polymerized. The cyclopolymerization of 4-(trifluoroacetoxy)methyl-1,6-heptadiyne using transition metal catalysts gave the corresponding poly[4-(trifluoroacetoxy)methyl-1,6-heptadiyne] in high yields. The Mo-based catalysts was found to be more effective for this polymerization than W-based catalysts. The cross-linking reaction of polymer itself during the polymerization process induced the insoluble polymeric products. The IR spectrum of polymer did not show the acetylenic C≡C and ≡C-H stretching frequencies of monomer. And the resulting polymers were found to be mostly amorphorus by X-ray diffraction analysis.

폴리[4-트리플로로아세톡시)메틸-1,6-헵타디인]의 합성과 특성

초록

(트리플로로아세톡시)메틸 기능기를 갖는 디프로파길 단량체인 4-(트리플로로아세톡시)메틸-1,6- 헵타 디인을 합성하고 그 중합실험을 수행하였다. 여러 가지 전이금속촉매를 사용한 4-(트리플로로아세톡시)메틸 -1,6-헵타디인의 고리화중합을 통하여 해당 고분자인 폴리[4-(트리플로로아세톡시)메틸-1,6-헵타디 인]을 높은 수율로 합성하였다. 본 중합에서는 몰리브데늄 계 촉매가 텅스텐 계 촉매보다 더 효과적이였 다. 반응과정 중에 생성된 고분자의 가교화반응으로 합성 고분자들은 대부분 유기용매에 용해하지 않았다. 고분자의 IR 스펙 트럼에서는 단량체의 아세틸렌 C≡C 및 ≡C-H 신축진동띠를 보여주지 않았다. 이 고분자는 XRD 회절분석 결과 대부분 무정형상임이 밝혀졌다.
